Contemporary Swedish Music

This week is filled with new (and superb!) Swedish contemporary music!

Yesterday I had the honor of doing the soprano solo in the first performance of the piece Blomstertid (Summertime/Flowertime) by Kjell Perder (lyrics; Hans Gentzel). The piece is written for solo-soprano, mixed choir and wind orchestra. And today the recording started of Fyra Kärlekssånger (Four Love-songs) by Johan Hammerth (lyrics; Niklas Rådström) which is written for solo voice and orchestra. Next week I continue with the new opera music Euridice (by Martin J Tibblin) for the Vadstena opera production. It's a real priviledge to be a part of the new Swedish music and composing of today!
